Once, when I used to be crazy (not anymore), I made a blood pact. It was only one time though, and one time isn't super crazy, in my opinion. Don't we all do weird shit when we're young? Some people do missionary work, and I made a blood pact. Just kids' stuff! In the same vein (ha!), I do not regret my blood pact one bit because it was done out of genuine love on both parts. I also understand that it's a less-than-favorable way to demonstrate love for one another, but this person and I also punched walls for fun together -- a blood pact was almost inevitable. And we loved each other. We were just fucked up.
I can't pinpoint what changed for me after the blood pact, but it certainly raised the bar in terms of substantiating others' love and commitment toward me. Red became my favorite color after the blood pact, and everything that's red makes my heart beat really fast ever since. I can't explain that either, but I can tell you that this skirt is adrenaline-pumping. The color is absolutely stunning. It's riveting! It's exciting! Wearing it will make you the apple of everyone's eye, and isn't that all a girl wants? A little attention?
