Black and red wool cardigan from the 1970s. Knit collar. Velvet buttons. Ribbed at hem and sleeves. Stretchy material. Size large on tag. See measurements below.

I once dated a guy who wanted me to wear my high school uniform (will not elaborate), but I couldn't because my mother threw it away after I graduated. My uniform skirt had six holes in it because I loved the way the fabric sealed itself around the burn of a cigarette. Do you know what I mean? I don't know the word for this, but I hope you get me!

In the same vein, my blouse was cut quite raggedly at the waist because I turned it into a crop top one day when I was drunk at a party in my uniform. This was not uncommon at my high school, however. So, my mom threw that away too.

The guy I was dating thought I was lying when I told him all this, and stopped speaking to me because I didn't want to marry him. I might've married him had he cleaned his room just once, and maybe been a little nicer to me at the time; neither of which ever happened, so we are not married.

It is likely, however, that IF I owned this cardigan at the time, I could've worn it with an American Apparel skirt and pretended it was my uniform, and he wouldn't have known any better because he went to public school. We might still be together! You never know! Therefore, if you, too, are on the brink of a breakup, I HIGHLY suggest you buy this cardigan. Wear it to your boyfriend's house with an American Apparel skirt, and he'll pretend to love you aaaaaall over again. Breakup postponed, baby!
