When you love someone, you let shit slide for the good of the relationship, and that's why I forgive my ex for saying I look amazing in this sweater. I forgive him, not for the compliment, but because he's very obviously baiting me, and it obviously works every single time. He's a master at caressing (manipulating) my Leo Ego for attention, and I'm a pro at yielding to his every desire. A match made in heaven, aren't we?
But we're cool, it's cool, and I know he means it when he says I look amazing in this sweater because he's still in love with me, and he knows that I know that he's still in love with me. My brother called me "confrontational" for saying this -- for telling my ex that he's still in love with me, but it isn't confrontation if the premise is widely accepted by all parties. And it is. He laughed when I said this.
