Lexapro never worked for me, nor did Prozac, Zoloft, Effexor, or Latuda. Latuda made me want to die, but I stayed on it until I realized it was making me fat – that’s where I drew the line. I tried all of these pills many, many years ago – far too long ago for me to rank their effectiveness now, but I can tell you one thing about them with absolute certainty: none of these pills ever made me as happy as this dress does.
I knew I was going to have a hard weekend because I knew I was getting my period, but then I got ghosted and life became unbearable. After that, I tripped on Second Avenue and walked eight blocks with a bloody knee because I couldn’t stanch the flow of blood. Construction workers were jeering at me. To top it all off, I was having guy problems with a guy who doesn’t know how to take “no” for an answer. I was annoyed and ready to combust. I didn’t want to get out of bed on Sunday until I tried on this dress. After that, I ran a marathon, and you can too! If antidepressants have never worked for you, I promise that this dress will.
